Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Digital: Price, Where to Watch — Blu-ray and 4K Follow Dec. 15
The year's biggest movie reached home just 67 days after its theatrical debut. Here's what it costs, where to get it, what the discs add, and why there's no streaming date yet.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now available at home. Sony Pictures released Destin Daniel Cretton's film on digital on October 6, 2026, 67 days after it opened in theaters on July 31. It arrives as the highest-grossing film of 2026, with a worldwide total of nearly $2.5 billion that TheMovieBlog reports makes it the third-highest-grossing film of all time and the most successful release in Sony Pictures' history.
The pricing is the same across stores. According to Screen Rant, it costs $29.99 to buy and $24.99 to rent on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home, and TheMovieBlog also lists Sony's own Sony Pictures Core app among the outlets. A rental is the classic premium-video-on-demand deal: you get a limited window to start and finish the film, so at $24.99 against $29.99, buying is the better value for anyone who expects to watch it more than once, or for families with kids who will.
Physical media follows on December 15. Sony's announcement lists 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD editions. The 4K and Blu-ray discs carry the fuller set of extras: outtakes, plus featurettes on Tom Holland, Cretton's direction, the film's hidden references, how the villain was built, the chemistry between Holland and Jon Bernthal's Punisher, the comic-book panels recreated on screen, the ensemble cast, stunts and costume design. The DVD is limited to three of those featurettes. If extras and the best picture quality matter to you, the 4K disc is the version to wait for; if you just want to watch it this weekend, digital is the only option until mid-December.
What hasn't been announced is a subscription streaming date. There is no official word yet on when Brand New Day will reach a service such as Netflix or Disney+, and Sony hasn't said. Viewers who would rather not pay for a rental should assume it will be months, not weeks, before it appears in a subscription library.
For anyone deciding whether it's worth $25 to $30, the critical record is strong. In our review we gave it a FilmRated Score of 84 out of 100, with Rotten Tomatoes at 90%, Metacritic at 66 and IMDb at 8.0 at the time we checked. Our review calls it Holland's best Spider-Man film, one that grows up with its audience. It runs 145 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of action and violence and some language, so it suits most families with older kids.
On the same day the film went digital, Sony posted an official "Global Home Premiere Party" video on its YouTube channel to mark the release. If you missed it in theaters, home is now the only way to catch up — and with a 67-day window, the move from the big screen to digital came faster than for Sony's earlier Spider-Man films.
